About the Department:
The Data Governance Team is responsible for ensuring the Authority has good governance processes around its data processing activities. It develops data-related policies, standards and guidelines, aiming to create a unified source of truth and aiding the Authority’s shift towards becoming more data-driven. Additionally, the team oversees data quality monitoring, supports data management training, and facilitates the publication of policies and procedures. It acts as a central point for collating data proposals and issues, ensuring effective data governance across the Authority.
About the Role:
In this role, the chosen candidate will be responsible for analysing the authority’s various information systems, databases and data sets, and ensuring data quality while developing and maintaining data policies that adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements. This position plays a critical role in driving digital transformation of the Authority and fostering a data driven culture across the organization.

About You:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data governance frameworks and policy development, while understanding the financial industry business processes.
You will also possess a minimum of five (5) years prior experience in a Data Management or Governance related role and an MQF Level 6 in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a relevant field duly certified by the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC) or a widely recognised professional qualification at a comparable level.
If you do not have the necessary academic or professional qualifications but you have at least ten (10) years of relevant experience. we would still be interested in speaking with you.
