Job Description

Overview

About the Department:

The Investment Services Supervision Function is responsible for the authorisation and supervision of investment services licence holders and recognised persons. The Authorisation Team in particular is responsible for the processing of applications of entities proposing to carry out activities in terms of the Investment Services Act. The Investment Services Supervision Function is also involved in policy-related work.

About the role:

The Employee will provide essential administrative, research, and technical support to the team. During the Employment Period, the Employee shall carry out the following duties:

  • Communication, support and customer service of internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist in the initial screening, logging, and filing of incoming notifications and related correspondence
  • Accurately enter and maintain records of regulatory notifications and information in the department's database
  • Draft routine acknowledgement letters and external communications under the supervision of a Senior Analyst.
  • Brainstorming, coordination, promotion and delivery of event, projects and/or activities
  • Other duties and tasks as may be assigned by management

The employees` duties may be updated or amended from time to time in accordance with the exigencies of the Function and the Authority. 

About you:

We are looking for a dynamic team player who is energetic and motivated to contribute to the team with creative solutions and a drive to learn.

You will have a passion in Financial Services, Law, Training or Operational areas and currently in the stage of obtaining a qualification in the relevant field at National Qualification Framework Level 6 or better, duly certified by the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC) or a widely recognised professional qualification at a comparable level.
