About the Department
Technology is at the core of the knowledge-based organisation. It enables MFSA's strategic and operational objectives to be achieved efficiently and effectively. The Technology team leverages cutting-edge technology, industry standards and methodologies to provide reliable services to the rest of the organisation and the financial services sectors interacting with the Authority electronically. It is responsible for technology design, information security, development, integration and delivery of all information and communications infrastructure, platforms, and services, working with technology vendors and partners. The Technology team is made up of professionals specialised in relevant areas that include governance and planning, infrastructure and service management, information systems, and security. Officials from Technology also participate and give their contribution in several European committees, expert groups and industry fora.
About Role
The selected candidate will play will support the IT Planning team in managing administrative and operational tasks related to technology planning and procurement. Key responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
• Handling technology-related invoices and updating budget records.
• Managing purchase requests and coordinating with Procurement and Business Owners.
• Processing renewals for licenses and contracts.
• Maintaining travel plans, calendars, and stationery stock levels.
• Coordinating hardware repairs, deliveries, and disposals.
• Monitoring and updating planning documentation and systems.
• Reviewing bank guarantees and liaising with contractors for renewals.
• Assisting with meeting minutes, staff attendance, and mailbox monitoring.
• Performing general administrative duties and ad-hoc tasks assigned.
About You
The role calls for an academic qualification in a relevant field of study at National Qualification Framework Level 6 or better, duly certified by the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC) or a widely recognised professional qualification at a comparable level.
If you do not have the necessary academic or professional qualifications but you have at least three (5) years of relevant experience, we would still be interested in speaking with you.
Candidates applying for this role should also possess the following skills:
• Reliable, responsible, and able to handle tasks with care and professionalism.
• Comfortable working with numbers.
• Able to follow guidelines and instructions carefully and consistently.
• Works well with others and contributes positively to team efforts.
• Quick to learn new tools, processes, and systems.
• Basic understanding of public procurement procedures is a plus but not required.
