Job Description

Overview

About the Department:

The Enforcement Function is responsible for reviewing the actions and where necessary, conducting investigations of licence holders who have, or are suspected of having committed serious compliance failures, serious misconduct, or any other serious breaches of the law. The Enforcement Function also investigates the actions of persons carrying out financial services activities without having the necessary licence or authorisation.

About the Role

• Act as the first point of contact for the Chief Officer, screening calls, emails and other communications;

• Diary and agenda management for the Chief Officer; 

• Make any necessary travel arrangements as guided by the Chief Officer, including handling reimbursements;

• Ensure all meetings are well-prepared for, with relevant documents and briefings available in advance;

• Greet guests and delegations upon arrival at the Authority's premises; 

• Organise and attend meetings as necessary, taking minutes and ensuring follow-ups on action points;

• Prepare high-quality correspondence, reports, and presentations as required;

• Maintain and organise files, records and confidential documents;

• Mail management;

• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining strong professional relationships;

• Manage office supplies;

• Any other duties as may be required from time to time.

About You

The role calls for an academic qualification in a relevant field of study at National Qualification Framework Level 6 or better, duly certified by the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC) or a widely recognised professional qualification at a comparable level. You will also possess a minimum of three (3) years working in a similar role. 

If you do not have the necessary academic or professional qualifications but you have at least seven (7) years of relevant experience, we would still be interested in speaking with you.
