Overview

About Communications

The Communication function acts as the central point of contact for the Authority, handling both internal and external communications. Its aim is to continue maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders, as well as keeping them up to date, be they employees, licence holders or the public at large. The function is also the designated brand guardian of the MFSA, managing its reputation and image on the various digital and offline platforms, through B2B and consumer education campaigns and events.

About The Role

The Junior Assistant Content Writer will be involved in the following:

• Writing of content for internal communications, including intranet features, stories and interviews;

• Writing of content for campaigns;

• Managing social media content, including writing of posts, creating stories and accompanying visuals, as well as scheduling or uploading as required;

• Providing support in the creation of content material or collateral for local or international, both digital and in-person, events or workshops;

• Scheduling and planning of content material;

• Monitoring digital news and print media coverage, to circulate as necessary;

• Preparing and compiling of reports and statistics as required by the different team's initiatives;

• Providing support to the team in the day-to-day operations;

• Updating the website content in a timely manner, using appropriate tools;

• Supporting with the monitoring and replying of general enquiries received.

About You

The candidate should:

• Have an excellent command of English and Maltese, with a flair for writing and an eye for detail;

• Be able to organise, multi-task, meet strict deadlines and prioritise tasks in accordance with the requirements of the function;

• Possess good communication and presentation skills;

• Be able to work within a team as well as a multi-disciplinary office.

Candidates should ideally be reading for a degree in English studies, marketing, communications or any relevant field of study.

Experience in blog writing, social media page management and/or copywriting will be considered an asset.
