Overview

About the Department

The Investment Services Supervision Function is responsible for the authorisation and supervision of investment services licence holders and recognised persons. The Authorisation Team in particular is responsible for the processing of applications of entities proposing to carry out activities in terms of the Investment Services Act. The Investment Services Supervision Function is also involved in policy-related work.

About the Role

Within this role you will form part of the Investment Firms & Funds Team within the Investment Services Supervision. The following are some tasks you will be involved in:    

This Role is hybrid in nature. The chosen candidate will form part of the Investment Firms and Funds Team, within Investment Services Supervision. The following are some key tasks and expectations:

- Work collaboratively within a team;

- Assist in the upkeep of FinHub;

- Undertake assessments through desk based reviews;

- Assist in maintaining Team logs;

- Assist in respective Team workplans, including any ad-hoc projects;

- Assist the team with data quality analysis;

- Ability to multi-task;

- Process information requests received from other functions and Authorities;

- Undertake other supervisory tasks or projects as delegated by line management.

About You

We are looking for a dynamic team player who is energetic and motivated to contribute to the team with creative solutions and a drive to learn.

You will have a passion in Financial Services, Technology, Law, Criminology, Training or Operational areas and currently in the stage of obtaining a qualification in the relevant field at National Qualification Framework Level 5 or better, duly certified by the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC) or a widely recognised professional qualification at a comparable level.
