Overview

About the Department

The Administration & Facilities oversees and manages the Authority's building management services, centralised travel desk, hospitality, and support and ensures the efficient performance of all function areas. 

About the Role

The following are some tasks you will be involved in: 

• Supporting with all matters related to the upkeep of the plant equipment within the premises to keep operational disruption and equipment downtime to a minimum; 

• Read and compile schematics; 

• Monitor and execute building projects (including finishes and M&E Services); 

• Follow up on critical equipment service level agreements; 

• Support in first hand works related to general maintenance such as plastering, painting, plumbing, electrical and other works; 

• Monitor external contractors’ work on premises; 

• Monitor and control stock levels of hardware items/consumables to ensure these are kept at acceptable levels; and 

• Undertake any other ad-hoc tasks as delegated by senior management in line with the exigencies of the Administration & Facilities.

About You

We are looking for candidates with solid technical and academic background and experience in a similar role. You need to hold a Technical qualification in Mechanical / Electrical or HVAC and Electrical License “A” combined with good knowledge of legal health and safety requirements.

The role calls for an academic qualification in the relevant field of study at National Qualification Framework Level 5 or better, duly certified by the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC) or a widely recognised professional qualification at a comparable level. 

If you do not have the necessary academic or professional qualifications but you have at least three (3) years of working experience, we would still be interested in 

speaking with you. Candidates with longer working experience relevant to the role will be preferred.
